British 1870 pattern Honourable Artillery Company Officer’s Sword

Dated: between 1870 and 1887

Culture: British

Measurements: 31.5 inch blade

This quite rare pattern of sword features the so-called ‘Percy’ style double-edged spadroon blade, etched with foliage and ‘HAC’. This example has as straight blade, clear etching, and a firm hilt with shark skin grip. The sword was made by Sherlock & Co.
